I’ve had what looks like a rash on one side of my face for several months now. I’ve applied hydrogen peroxide to it, but to no avail. I’m inclined to think that the rash might be caused by a bacterial infection on my skin, and perhaps only a strong anti-biotic would get rid of it. I want to know if it’s possible to have a bacterial infection on the skin without having a fever or any other symptoms of a bacterial infection.
Like I said, the rash has been on my face for several months now. It’s a red non-itchy rash. And I know that it’s not Eczema or Psoriasis because I’ve never had this type of rash before, and it contains bumps rather than just redness.
I haven’t been to a dermatologist because I haven’t had the money for it.

My child has had dry, bumpy skin since he was a child that won’t go away. I use nonallergenic detergent, and that helps slightly. We’ve moved twice, so I’m pretty sure that it’s not environmental. Other symptoms that make the dermatologist think it’s excema, are peeling, cracking skin on his palms and soles of feet when he spends any time at all in a pool. We limit baths and have used many lotions with little change. He also has a tendency to be extremely hot natured. Ten minutes of exercise and he is drenched with sweat. I can’t help to think this must be related somehow. Any advice?

I work in the hospital as a nurse. I now use the powder-free gloves. For years,I had a chronic case of eczema to my right hand on only 2 particular spots. It itches and flakes up like crazy. I have seen the dermatologist and was given an ointment but the eczema is stubborn for years. Is there any homeopathic herbal or pharmaceutical topical medications recommended? Any other suggestions?

He’s already seen his doctor plus a dermatologist. I have used Aquaphor (great on diaper rashes), Eucrine, Vanicream, CeraVe, and Cetaphil. Plus he’s gotten 2 presciption creams (some amts of steroids involved). In desperation, I’ve now used 1% hydrocortisone cream (huge amts of steroids). No use – he’s still scratching like mad and the cycle of bleeding, open wounds begins. Help!!!!!!

I can’t afford to see a dermatologist or doctor right now and my skin has dried out severely on certain areas of my body (I think it may be due to stress because my husband lost his job about 2 months ago and we’ve been very stressed). I just did a search on some things that help but I can’t afford to try everything without knowing if it will work for me or not. The Eucerin Calming Body Wash sounds best so far, it’s almost 8 bucks a bottle. Can anyone who suffers from eczema give me some low cost remedies that have worked for you please? Thanks in advance.

Eczema treatments?

I’ve suffered from eczema all my life, and it seems like Im running out of treatments to try. My dermatologist has prescribed Mimiyx and a steroid cream, but neither of these help with the intense horrible itching that comes with sudden flare-ups. Lately it seems like Im using the steroid more and more out of desperation, my whole face is just raw right now and I can barely sleep because of it. The Mimyx helps keep it in check, but again it doesnt stop the flare-ups or relieve the itching.

Has anyone found a way to quickly relieve the horrible itching? Please, any remedy or advice would be grealty appreciated.

I need help with my dishydrotic eczema!?

I’ve had dishydrotic eczema on and off for several years, but it’s gotten much worse in the past few months. My general practitioner has prescribed a cream called triamcinolone acetonide cream which I apply 2x per day, and I am no longer getting any relief. I’ve made an appointment with a dermatologist, but it’s not until 2/5, and I’m in a lot of discomfort and pain (not to mention that it looks awful!). Does anyone have any suggestions?
