I’ve had Eczema ever since i was little, therefore the effects have really sunken in. my legs are swarming with eczema, they were so dry that at one point the backs of BOTH my legs scabbed over and turned black. I’ve used skin lightening creams and have finally gotten them back to my original tone. My only problem now is that on the outer sides of both my legs i have scaly, cracked, and discolored skin that is very noticeable and embarrassing, what can i do to get rid of the scales AND the symptoms (such as peeling and flaking).

I just got my ear pierced saturday and it started to scab up noticeably inside sunday night/mon morning so i was assuming the healing process was going smoothly. Today at school my fran said that it looked really red and i noticed that my ears were really hot, and that my face was hot. Later i had others say that my ears looked fine. I got home and took a nice shower and washed them with Dial soap twice during the shower (beginning and end). And twice more after that later in the day. The only places i have had eczema appear is on my legs, upper arm, and stomach. It was a really bad skin rash that spread even when left alone. I used clobetasol propionate cream to clear it all up, but this was over a year ago. And yes, i have surgical steel captives in my ears, 14gauge (contains nickel). So right now ears look fine, feel hot, and face feels hot. Is it the nickel and dial reacting badly that is making me feel this way or what?

how do you get rid of dark spots caused by eczema?

I was diagnosed with eczema about one or two yrs ago, don’t really remember exactly when right now, and ever since I’ve been struggling with this skin condition. It all started in my hands and now I see this in the inner parts of my arms and around the back of my shoulders. I sometimes get it on the back of my legs too. All the itching (sp) and dryness leaves dark spots in my body and I hate it. How can I get rid of the dark spots…will they go away on their own?

How to get rid of skin discoloration caused by eczema?

I have severe eczema, and after an outbreak clears up I am left with very bad discoloration (the area turns very pale and white). Now I have extremely splotchy looking skin. I moisturize every day and I am very healthy. If my legs look this horrible at the age of 14, I am afraid of what they will look like when I am older! What can I do to fix this?

What causes eczema?

I’ve had Contact Dermatitis (a type of eczema) since October 2006. I was sleeping in a hotel and the next morning I woke up with the rash all over my hands and legs! It’s been like torture ever since :(
The beginning was the worst.. and has pretty much disappeared except for the scar/marks on my legs. Last night some showed up on the back of my neck too. I used some medicated lotion that my doctor gave me, but now when I itch my skin, it scratches off!

I read somewhere online that soy products could cause eczema. That makes sense because I started drinking soymilk instead of regular milk around the same time the rash appeared. Is soy a common cause of eczema?

I’m 18 if that helps!

What are fast treatments for eczema?

I have homecoming this weekend and currently have little spots of eczema on my legs and arms. They are red and a little scabby. I’m using 1% hydrocortizone cream and a perscription Tricalisome(not sure if that’s the spelling) cream. Any other fast suggestions?

My daughter is 18 months old and we have tried everything for her eczema. She is currently under the care of a dermatologist specialist who currently has placed her on a peanut based oil, which has worked so far. Her eczema is especially bad on her face and legs. Any suggestions help. Thank you.

My sister(23) has had eczema all her life. It completely covers her legs. She used to get regular cortizone shots, but there not good for your body after years of treatments. Oatmeal doesn’t work anymore. Most creams/lotions just help with the dryness but not the itching. Anyone know of natural treatments that might help?
